Building Professionals (contractors)
If you are subcontracting a roller shutter installation you'll find a professional and reliable partner in HVP Security Shutters.
We're Health & Safety conscious and have an excellent track record working on construction sites.
Subcontracting to HVP Security Shutters
HVP carry out installation work throughout the UK and overseas. Values of contracts we work on generally range from £500 to £150,000.
HVP carries a minimum of £10,000,000 Public Liability cover and regularly works in environments where additional safety and security requirements are required; typically Railway stations and Airports. We also carry additional vehicle insurance. This allows us vehicle access to some airport areas that are not normally covered by most vehicle insurers.
All of our operatives carry CSCS cards. Many of our engineers are also NVQ level 2 qualified and our senior engineers are Site Supervisor trained. We're a Worksafe accredited contractor and employ the services of an external Health & Safety Advisor who carries out regular site inspections and audits our Health and Safety Policy documentation.
All our staff who visit construction sites carry CSCS cards. As well as roller shutter fitting engineers this includes our surveyors and sales advisors.
HVP Security Shutters has been awarded a Worksafe Contractor Membership Certificate.
See our Memberships and Accreditations for more information.
Risk assessments and Method statements
We back up every installation with method statements and risk assessments. We will make sure main contractors receive these from us in advance so the shutter installation can be carried out smoothly on the date we agree.
We are fully insured for the manufacture, supply, installation and maintenance of security and fire shutters:
- Employers liability: £10,000,000
- Public / Products liability: £10,000,000
- Products efficacy / advice liability: £10,000,000
In addition to this, our insurance has been extended to include:
- Legal liability for the failure of the products supplied to fulfill their intended function
- Work carried out airside in terminal buildings
- Work carried out overseas (other than USA and Canada)
To obtain a copy of our Certificate of Insurance, see our Memberships & accreditations.
The site foreman receives an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manual from us on signing off the shutter installation.
On completion of the project we also post a duplicate O&M manual to our client's offices as part of the shutter handover pack. This pack also includes the roller shutter warranty certificate and declaration of incorporation or conformity (whichever is applicable).
As part of our Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015) we keep full records of every security shutter installation we carry out. As well as complete technical details of every shutter, this includes duplicates of all documentation you receive from us.
