The first thing you will notice about this shutter is how it creates a feeling of security, while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. The Facade is a very versatile shutter that works well in commercial situations such as at airports, in shopping malls and at reception desks.
It's also a good product to protect domestic windows and patio areas.

Specification Facade polycarbonate roller shutter
Roller shutter made from durable, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate panels.
Construction:
Manufactured from 5mm or 6mm thick UV-resistant polycarbonate panels joined by 25mm high extruded aluminium hinged rails; Panels have a minimum height of 100mm and maximum plate length of 3000mm. For wider apertures H-section mullions with a visible width of 15mm are placed between plates; Double walled extruded aluminium bottom rail with rubber weather seal; Aluminium guides 50mm wide by 80mm deep, plastic lined, mounted on 60mm x 80mm steel sections.
Optional Canopy:
Roll formed aluminium in two sections; top and bottom boxes. Bottom box removable for installation and maintenance and chamfered at 45°. The shutterbox is assembled on die cast aluminium endplates.
Operation:
Electric operation by internal tubular motor with manual override facility. Safety brake fitted when required to comply with BS EN 13241:2003-1 (HVP Security Shutters' general policy is to fit a safety brake unless specified otherwise).
Locking Options:
Electrically operated grilles are generally self-locking. Standard additional electrical interlocking with electronically controlled locks. For further security HVP Security Shutters recommends a ground padlocking unit combined with a motor isolator box.
Finish:
Anodised aluminium as standard. Metal parts can be powder coated to any RAL colour (some non-standard colours may increase the delivery time). Optional panel coatings available.

Description Facade roller shutters
Facade roller shutters are manufactured from clear polycarbonate panels, mounted in aluminium joining rails. This security shutter is suitable for internal and external applications.
Optionally, the polycarbonate panels can be fabricated with a scratch-proof or opal (translucent) finish. When open, the panels are rolled up above the ceiling, leaving the opening completely free. Also suitable for closing off large openings up to 7 metres wide with a single shutter.
The panels have a material thickness of 5 or 6mm. Each panel has a minimum height of 100mm.
Individual polycarbonate panels are made into a shutter curtain by enclosing them in a frame of extruded aluminium joining rails. These rails are attached by hinges to one another and fitted with plastic end clips. Maximum plate length is 3000mm. For wider apertures a H-section mullion with a visible width of 15mm is set between the panels.
The bottom of the curtain consists of a double-walled bottom rail, finished off with a rubber weatherstrip.
High level of security
Facade roller shutters offer a high level of security. Each shutter is made to measure and can be adapted to your individual needs. They are easy to use and to keep clean.
Polycarbonate also has surprisingly good fire-resisting properties, being almost non-flammable and self-extinguishing. The roller mechanism can be concealed above a ceiling.

Panel thickness
Made with 6mm panels, Facade shutters are suitable for commercial application in airports, shopping malls, and retail and 24-hour zones of banks. The lighter 5mm version is made for reception counters, bars and partition walls, or can be used as a transparent closure for a patio, swimming pool or balcony.
