In daylight the K25 Perforated appears almost solid. But when lit from behind, the curtain becomes semi-transparent.
A multitude of micro-perforations let through airflow and light, while keeping everything behind the shutter locked away securely.
The perforations in the curtain are small. But because there are so many, they let through a significant amount of air and light.
The K25 Perforated is a strong, but lightweight rolling shutter that helps create a secure but inviting atmosphere.
The K25 Perforated offers a lighter alternative to our standard K25 aluminum security shutter. Utilizing a single-wall extruded aluminum slat with a multitude of micro-perforations, it gives a semi-transparent look to the shutter curtain.
Similar to all K25 aluminum roller shutters, the K25 Peforated combines lightweight construction with robust strength. Operating quietly and needing minimal maintenance, this compact roller shutter is ideal for medium-security applications, including homes, reception desks, bars, and offices.

Extruded aluminium roller shutters with micro-perforations
Construction:
- Shutter curtain manufactured from single wall extruded aluminium lath profile with dimensions of individual slats of 40mm high x 8.7mm thick. Lath to have micro-perforations throughout for light and airflow.
- Extruded aluminium guides with an integral box section for reinforcement and to facilitate fixing. Guiderails have high density 5mm pile brush seals for quiet and smooth operation. Guiderail dimensions as follows: 60mm wide x 24mm deep.
Lath options
Additional ventilation / light slots between the lath is available as an extra.
Shutter box
Roll formed aluminium in two sections; top and bottom boxes. Bottom box removable for installation and maintenance and chamfered at 45°. The shutter box is assembled on steel endplates.
Operation:
Manual push up/pull down operation; or electric operation by integral tubular motor with manual override facility. Safety brake fitted when required to comply with BS EN 13241:2003-1 (HVP Security Shutters' general policy is to fit a safety brake unless specified otherwise).
Locking Options:
Bottom rail central key lock or guide pin locks. Electrically operated shutters are generally self-locking.
Finish:
Polyester Powder Coated White or Dark Brown as standard; A full range of RAL colours is available as an extra.
