The Viewguard is a strong and cost effective security roller shutter with a beautiful semi-transparent effect when lit from behind.
During the daytime, when not backlit, the shutter looks less transparent, but still allows air to pass through.

We use a strong, perforated lath for our Viewguard roller shutters. The multitude of small (6mm), round holes in the shutter's curtain material creates a semi-transparent effect when light shines on the roller shutter from one side. These holes also allow air to pass through the roller shutter curtain.

Perforated lath security roller shutters
Construction:
Manufactured from 75mm curved galvanised steel 20 or 22 gauge galvanised steel T-or L-section bottom rail.
Galvanised steel guides 10 gauge 65mm - 104mm x 33mm.
Viewguard shutters have 6mm round holes in the lath.
Operation:
Manual push up/pull down operation or electric operation by internal tubular motor with manual override facility. Safety brake fitted when required to comply with BS EN 13241:2003-1 (HVP Security Shutters' general policy is to fit a safety brake unless specified otherwise).
Canopy:
Optional galvanised steel folded canopy box for roller mechanism protection.

Clear opening height (to underside of box):
Up to 2400mm, box size 305mm
Up to 3600mm, box size 355mm
Up to 4500mm, box size 405mm
Locking Options:
Bottom rail central key lock, Guide pin locks, or Ground padlocking system.
Electrically operated grilles are generally self-locking. For additional security HVP Security Shutters recommends guide pin locks or a ground padlocking unit combined with a motor isolator box.

Galvanised self-colour finish or Polyester Powder Coated

Description Viewguard shutters
HVP's Viewguard is a great roller shutter for shop fronts that need a higher level of security. Made from curved lath they are formidable barriers that deter even the more determined attacker.
As opposed to the completely solid Screenguard roller shutter, the Viewguard has perforated lath that allows light to pass through. With the lights left on at night, the shutter becomes transparent in appearance, which makes the Viewguard an ideal choice for window displays.
Viewguard roller shutters are an excellent choice for retail premises, but are equally effective in a wide range of other applications.
