HVP's T38 wooden roller shutter is made from real timber and has an open curtain reinforced with steel cables.
HVP's wooden roller shutters are made from real timber and available in a wide range of woods to match the surroundings where they are installed.
Our wooden roller shutters are reinforced with steel cables which makes them highly secure. You can choose from the following timbers for your wooden roller shutter:
- Ash
- Oak
- Beech
- Steamed Beech
- Mahogany substitute (Sapele)
- Cherry
- Walnut
- Maple
Our timber roller shutters come in a sanded finish as standard, but they can also be stained and/or lacquered to suit the interior into which they are installed.
Because our wooden roller shutters are made from real wood they need to stay dry and therefore are suitable only for indoor use. To achieve a wooden effect on a roller shutter that is exposed to the weather, we recommend a wood laminate finish on the K77 Aluminium roller shutter.

Technical Specification T40/T38 Timber roller shutters
Craftsman made roller shutter made from real wood
Construction:
Manufactured from 40mm Ash / Oak / Beech / Mahogany substitute / Cherry / Walnut / Maple lath. Available in either solid version (T40) or as an open lath (T38). Side guides to be 50mm x 40mm and manufactured from the same wood as the shutter curtain.
Operation:
Manual push up/pull down operation; or electric operation by integral tubular motor with manual override facility. Safety brake fitted when required to comply with BS EN 13241:2003-1 (HVP Security Shutters' general policy is to fit a safety brake unless specified otherwise).
Locking Options:
Bottom rail central key lock.
Electrically operated grilles are generally self-locking.
Finish:
Finish of curtain, guides, and bottom rail to be sanded, ready for finishing by others as standard. Complete shutter can be stained and varnished if required.
Canopy box
Optional canopy box manufactured from MDF with a veneered finish to match the shutter curtain.
Maximum Sizes:
- Manual: 1500mmW x 1500mmH
- Electric: 3000mmW x 3000mmH

Description Timber roller shutters
HVP's Timber Roller Shutters are craftsman made to your specific requirements. They are available in a wide range of timbers, including Ash, Oak, Beech, Sapele, Cherry, Walnut, and Maple.
You can choose from two types of wooden roller shutters: the solid lath T40 or the open lath T38 roller shutter. Both can be made to a maximum width of 3 metres. For wider shutters, a centre post is needed which can be either removable or fixed.
Our timber roller shutters come in a sanded finish as standard. They can be stained and/or varnished if required.
The centre and corner posts are made in matching wood. If they are removable, they are secured to counter tops with barrel bolts locating into flush-fitting spring-loaded retaining keeps.
Wooden roller shutters are manually operated by counter-balanced spring roller, or electrically operated by an integral 240V tubular motor.
Optional canopy cover in veneered MDF or matching wood.
